INTIMATE & ABSTRACT

This body of work marks a deliberate departure from traditional landscape photography, allowing me to explore and convey a deeper emotional connection to the landscapes I encounter. By moving beyond simply capturing a scene as it appears, I use my camera in more experimental ways using techniques like intentional camera movement and multiple exposures. These methods introduce a sense of motion, layering, and abstraction that transforms the images into something more evocative and expressive.

The resulting photographs often take on a painterly quality, blurring the lines between photography and painting. They invite viewers to experience the mood and atmosphere of the place rather than just its physical details. This approach reflects how I might express the landscape if I were to paint, focusing more on feeling and impression than precise representation. It’s how I share not just what I see, but also the feeling and meaning of the moment through a mix of abstract and creative expression.
